GBA‘s Milestone Moment for Hong Kong’s Youngest Airline

Greater Bay Airlines, a Hong Kong based airline established in July 2022, has reached its two millionth passenger on August 13th.

To celebrate the moment, representatives of GBA’s management team greeted the passenger and his family at the check-in counters of Hong Kong International Airport. The airline also offered round-trip tickets and special gift packs to passengers.

Mr Takahashi became the two-millionth passenger of GBA while returning to Osaka with his family after visiting Hong Kong for four days. Takahashi said it is his first time flying with GBA and it is a “big surprise” to conclude their trip in Hong Kong.

GBA’s Current Network and Fleet

With a home hub in Hong Kong, GBA is currently operating services between Hong Kong and Bangkok, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Yonago, Tokushima, Sendai, Sapporo, Manila, Phu Quoc, Zhoushan, Huangshan, Yichang, Guilin, Zhangjiajie, Quanzhou and Xuzhou with a fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Stephen Loh, GBA’s Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Communications and Service Delivery, said:

“It is an encouraging achievement for GBA as the number of passengers travelling with us exceeded two million. As the youngest airline in Hong Kong, we are growing fast, and our scheduled flight network now covers a total of 17 destinations across the region, including seven in Mainland China. Our fleet has also been expanding over the years, and we are all set to receive two Boeing 737-9 aircraft by the end of this year.”
