Travellers dreaming of breathtaking island getaways and idyllic tropic landscapes will soon benefit from a new partnership between Etihad Airways and Air Seychelles. The two carriers have introduced an exciting codeshare agreement, offering seamless connectivity between Etihad’s extensive network and the enchanting islands of Seychelles via Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport.

Connections to Paradise

As of May 2025, passengers can book a single ticket that connects all Etihad destinations to Mahé with a smooth transition in Abu Dhabi. Etihad Airways and Air Seychelles will operate six flights per week between Abu Dhabi and Mahé (the largest island of Seychelles), offering enhanced flexibility and frequency for sun-chasing travellers. Passengers can benefit from the same baggage allowances, complimentary inflight dining and entertainment, promising to deliver a smooth and luxurious journey from take-off to landing. Members of the Etihad Guest loyalty program can also accrue miles on every flight.

Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De underscores this:

This exciting agreement offers Etihad Airways’ guests increased frequency and convenience for travel between Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, and onward to Mauritius. The flights will integrate seamlessly with Etihad’s global network, [and] not only enhances travel options but also strengthens the relationship between the two airlines, promising a superior travel experience for all passengers.

Expanding Horizons

Alongside direct flights to Mahé, this partnership unlocks direct access to Praslin (the second largest island of Seychelles) and Mauritius. Air Seychelles’ Chief Commercial Officer, Charles Johnson expands:

With a schedule designed to optimise time in our tropical paradise, guests will feel the warmth of the Creole Spirit from the moment they board.

Ultimately, the integration of schedules offers not just seamless connectivity but also a unique experience to explore the mesmerising beauty and charm of the Indian Ocean region. With Etihad Airways and Air Seychelles, paradise is one uninterrupted world-class flight away.
