Traffic statistics 2025

Etihad Airways released its traffic statistics for July 2025, which reported continued growth in passenger volumes and network expansion. The airline carried two million passengers in July 2025, a 19 percent increase when compared to July 2024, in which the airline flew 1.7 million passengers. The airline is among some of the fastest-growing carriers, its passenger load factor, which was 89 percent in 2024, rose to 90 percent in July 2025, and its 12-month passenger total has reached up to 20.3 million.

Etihad Airways is committed to growing its fleet and destinations. In 2024, the airline had 94 aircraft, which were used to operate 76 passenger destinations, however, in 2025, its fleet size rose to 111, supporting 81 passenger destinations. These statistics show the airline’s ongoing investments in its fleet and route development.

Antononaldo Neves, chief executive officer of Etihad Airways, stated that the airline will continue to grow following the current momentum in its performance with passenger numbers in July. According to Neves, this is the first time in the airline’s history that it has surpassed 20 million passengers, adding that the airline’s fleet will continue to expand following the arrival of its A321LR. In the record month of July 2025, the airline received five new aircraft, including two Boeing 787s, an Airbus A350-1000, an A320, and the inaugural A321LR.
