Enhanced Connectivity

Etihad’s optimised flight schedule, detailed for 2025 and 2026, enhances connectivity between Sydney, Melbourne, and Abu Dhabi and facilitates smoother connections to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The increased flight frequencies and 10% overall seat growth reflect Etihad Airways’ ambition to capture a larger share of the Australian market while welcoming more visitors to Abu Dhabi through its exclusive stopover programme, which offers complimentary hotel stays.

A350’s Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines deliver 25% lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions. This efficiency, paired with a premium seat capacity increase, positions Etihad amongst the leaders in eco-conscious aviation. Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer of Etihad Airways noted that these enhancements provide travellers with greater flexibility and a next-generation travel experience that sets new industry standards. By blending cutting-edge technology, enhanced connectivity, and a focus on passenger comfort, Etihad’s A350 deployment signals a bold step towards redefining long-haul travel. This initiative both strengthens ties between Australia and the UAE and raises the standards for premium travel globally.
