Etihad Airways and Be Relax—the world’s number one airport spa brand, have joined forces to launch a new wellness spa inside the Etihad Lounge at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi (AUH). This marks the first collaboration between the two brands, offering an innovative and luxurious wellness experience for passing travellers to unwind during their journey. Located in the newly inaugurated Terminal A, the spa is set to elevate the in-transit travel experience to unprecedented heights.

A New Era of Travel Wellness

With a mission to redefine the world of wellness, the newly launched 24/7 spa is more than just a sanctuary to unwind between flights—it’s a shared vision of integrating rest and luxury into the travel experience. The spa was thoughtfully opened at Zayed International Airport as it is one of the major transitional gateways for long-haul international flights. Whether travelling from Asia to Africa or Europe to Oceania, the Be Relax Spa offers passengers a moment of respite. It is a seamless and unique opportunity to indulge in relaxation without needing an exclusive membership or advanced booking.

The Director of Product and Hospitality at Etihad Airways, Turky Al Hammadi, underscores this:

When it comes to pampering, our partners [at] Be Relax are experts at creating an indulgent and rejuvenating spa experience. The services are flexibly timed to allow our guests to make the most of their time at the airport and arrive at their destination feeling relaxed and refreshed

A First-of-Its-Kind Concept

This collaboration introduces a groundbreaking concept that flawlessly blends lounge comfort with spa luxury. Guests flying in Etihad’s First Class and The Residence (their opulent three-room suite in the sky) can delight in complimentary spa services. The spa however remains open to everyone, ensuring that all travellers have access to their top-tier services before or in between flights. What makes Be Relax particularly pioneering is their quest to make wellness accessible to everyone, regardless of how tight the schedule. With almost 40 airport spas worldwide, Be Relax remain anchored in their passion for service, excellence and accessible luxury amidst the bustle of flying.

Founder and CEO of Be Relax, Friederic Briest comments:

Our expertise in travel wellness combined with the premium Etihad Lounge sets the tone for a new chapter in Be Relax’s journey. […] As we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, this project couldn’t have come at a better time. It not only opens new horizons for our brand but also showcases the future of travel wellness to the world”

World-Class Spa Treatments for All

Etihad’s new spa experience is further enhanced by exclusive partnerships with luxury beauty brands like Swiss skincare and fragrance from La Maison Valmont and Italian hair care from Philip Martin’s. From Valmont’s renowned Luminosity and Glacier facials to Philip Martin’s premium hair treatments, these services bring unparalleled levels of care to all passengers. Not only does the spa operate 24/7, it also offers an extensive range of therapies, from their swift 15-minute chair massages to Be Relax’s signature full body treatments.

In addition, they provide O.P.I. nail care, barber services and showers with BODYFUL’s innovative Vitamin Shower Filter diffused with a delightful scent to perfume your freshly-cleaned skin. The cherry on top is certainly the spa’s collaboration with Ressource Paris, and their unique Sophrology sessions for the stressed and anxious traveller—practises specially designed to foster optimum physical and mental health through guided breathing exercises, muscle relaxation and visualisation.
