Strengthening Ties Between France and Africa

With the addition of Lyon, Ethiopian Airlines will now serve three destinations in France—Paris, Marseille, and Lyon, significantly enhancing connectivity for travelers between France, Africa, and beyond through its Addis Ababa hub.

The route will be operated using Ethiopian Airlines’ Airbus A350-900, one of the most advanced and environmentally efficient aircraft in the world, offering superior passenger comfort and a reduced carbon footprint.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Group Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, said:

“We are delighted to expand our presence in France with the addition of Lyon to our extensive global network. France has long been a key market for Ethiopian Airlines, and with over five decades of connecting the country to Africa and beyond, we remain committed to strengthening our services to and from France and the region, facilitating trade, tourism, and people to people ties. Beyond enhancing connectivity, this new route provides our passengers with seamless access to destinations across our worldwide network, reaffirming our commitment to offering reliable, convenient, and high-quality travel experiences”
