With the upcoming renovations of Tokyo Narita airport, Emirates has announced the expansion of its Japan operations. The airline plans to launch a second daily service to Tokyo Narita. The added flight will extend the airline’s rollout of its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER on long-haul routes.

Second Daily Dubai-Narita Service Initiating in May
Emirates noted the new service will begin May 1, operating as flights EK320 and EK321 between Dubai and Tokyo Narita. Currently, EK320 is scheduled to depart Dubai at 10:30 p.m. and arrive in Tokyo at 1:30 p.m. the following day. The return flight will leave Narita at 9:30 p.m. and land in Dubai at 3:50 a.m. the next morning. All times are local.
The added frequency provides improved connectivity for both leisure and business travelers. Eastbound passengers will arrive in Japan in the afternoon, allowing for smoother domestic transfers. While westbound travelers gain early-morning arrival slots in Dubai for onward connections across Europe, Africa, and South America.
A central feature of Emirates’ long-haul strategy is to offer multi-destination itineraries with convenient stopovers in Dubai.

Refurbished Boeing 777-300ER
The additional Narita rotation will be operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER featuring Emirates’ four-class configuration. Notably, the aircraft includes 260 economy seats, 24 premium economy seats, 40 business-class seats in a 1-2-1 layout and a further eight first-class suites.
Cabin upgrades feature new design elements including, updated colour palettes and wood-finish accents. Moreover, the twin-engine jet is equipped with the airline’s latest in-flight entertainment system, offering more than 6,500 channels, with a selection of Japanese content.
Notably, Emirates has served Japan since 2002 and currently operates daily flights to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda and Osaka. With the new service, the carrier will total 28 weekly flights to and from Japan, consisting of more than 22,000 weekly seats. Additionally, the airline expects to carry over 1,200 tonnes of cargo per week, supporting its trade links with the Gulf, Europe, and Africa.
Premium customers will have access to Emirates’ chauffeur-drive service. The airline has expanded domestic connections through partnerships with Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, giving travelers access to countless destinations across the country.
