Forecasts indicate potentially hazardous conditions across Texas, much of the Southeast—including Delta’s Atlanta hub—and into the Northeast, raising concerns about delays and cancellations at some of the nation’s busiest airports. Proactive Steps to Reduce Disruptions
To help customers stay ahead of the storm, Delta is offering flexibility for travellers with existing bookings in affected areas, allowing them to change their itineraries without incurring change fees. Customers can manage their travel directly through delta.com or the Fly Delta app.
In the event of a cancellation or a delay that results in a missed connection, Delta says it will automatically rebook customers on the next available flight.
Delta is encouraging customers to track their flight status frequently, noting that winter weather can change rapidly. Travellers can opt in to receive real-time alerts via mobile notifications or email, providing updates on delays, gate changes, or cancellations.
The airline also emphasised its commitment to transparency, saying customers will be notified as early as possible if schedules are adjusted.
