London to Olbia with BA Cityflyer

From 23 May 2026, BA Cityflyer will operate twice-weekly flights between London Stansted and Olbia, Sardinia, with weekend departures and arrivals for passengers’ convenience.

This route will be flown alongside the BA Cityflyer route from London City Airport to Olbia, which will fly to Olbia up to five times weekly. Flights from London Stansted to Olbia will run until 27 September 2026 and will be operated using the airline’s Embraer E190 aircraft.

Passengers flocking to Olbia will be able to take in picturesque beaches, unique scenery and the historical medieval centre while enjoying the warmth of the Italian sun.

As a region, Sardinia has been growing in popularity amongst tourists, with an increase of 38 percent in overnight stays in the region from 2023 to 2024. This route opens up the perfect connection to an in-demand destination.

Ciaran Brannigan, Commercial Director at London Stansted, said:

“Sardinia is one of the Mediterranean’s most stunning destinations, and we’re delighted to see British Airways add Olbia to its growing network from London Stansted. This new route will be a fantastic option for passengers looking for a getaway next summer.”

Ian Romanis, Managing Director of BA Cityflyer, also celebrated the arrival of the new route, saying:

“We’re excited to grow our network and to be introducing direct flights from Stansted to Olbia, further enhancing our summer leisure schedule. This route will provide greater options and flexibility for those planning summer holidays in 2026.”

Olbia is joining the lineup of routes for BA Cityflyer’s Summer 2026 schedule alongside destinations such as Florence, Split, Bergerac, Ibiza and Nice.
