Avelo Airlines’ World Elite Mastercard

Avelo Airlines announced its partnership with Cardless, a credit card provider to individual brands based in San Francisco on January 27. This will make Avelo the first U.S. domestic airline to adopt next-gen credit card infrastructure. It enables Avelo to deliver rewards, faster approvals and seamless digital integration to its customers.

The Avelo Airlines Mastercard integrates seamlessly with Avelo’s other offering and gives cardholders 5% in Avelo cash back on Avelo purchases, 2% in Avelo cash back on all other purchases and unique benefits such as a free carry-on bag, priority boarding and standard seat selection capabilities.

The Cardless technology platform allows Avelo to provide improved customer experience and the ability to track activity in real time to learn from each purchase and continuously optimise rewards using AI-powered technology to deliver personalisation and drive higher customer engagement.

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy noted that the new technology will help customers enjoy their Avelo travel perks of a free carry-on, priority boarding and cash back opportunities.

“Our customers have been asking for a loyalty program with unique perks for Avelo travellers, the Avelo Airlines Mastercard offers just that. When Cardless demonstrated what their platform could deliver—the speed, control, personalization, and seamless integration with our loyalty program, I was impressed,” said Levy.

Who are Cardless?

Cardless, a credit card platform that enables product-led companies to launch and manage their own co-branded cards. The San Francisco based company was founded in 2019.

Cardless Co-Founder and President Michael Spelfogel said,

“Avelo is proving that a start-up airline can embrace game-changing technologies and leapfrog ahead. Cardless gives Avelo the power to embed and scale its financial products directly in its ecosystem, and leverage AI productivity tools that drive better offers, and a digital-first experience that customers actually want to use. We’re so proud to help power Avelo’s disruption and overhaul of airline rewards, and we expect other carriers to follow in their lead.”

The company has two co-branded cards with LATAM Airlines, two cards with Qatar Airways, two with Avianca Airlines and a card with TAR Air Portugal. And now Cardless has entered a partnership with Avelo Airlines with its Avelo Airlines World Elite Mastercard.
