Latvian airline, airBaltic, is to launch six new routes in the 2026 summer season. Departing from its bases of Tallinn (Estonia) and Riga (Latvia), the move is part of a wider expansion for the airline across the Baltic states.

Strengthening Connectivity
The new routes are scheduled as follows:
- Riga–Kaunas (Lithuania), starting 29 March 2026, five weekly flights
- Riga-Oulu (Finland), starting 29 March 2026, five weekly flights
- Riga- Antalya (Turkey), starting 02 May 2026, two weekly flights
- Tallinn- Athens (Greece), starting 28 April 2026, two weekly flights
- Tallinn-Hamburg (Germany), starting 29 March 2026, two weekly flights
- Tallinn-Vienna (Austria), starting 30 March 2026, two weekly flights
In a further sign of expansion, the airline is also relaunching three routes from Riga to destinations in the UK, Serbia and Armenia:
- Riga-Aberdeen (UK), starting 02 June 2026, two weekly flights
- Riga-Belgrade (Serbia), starting 01 May 2026, two weekly flights
- Riga-Yerevan (Armenia), starting 02 May 2026, three weekly flights
Chief Commercial Officer (Acting) at airBaltic, Thomas Ramdahl spoke of the airline’s summer development, commenting:
“Each season, we carefully evaluate the travel needs of our passengers and the overall market dynamics in the region. The additions and increases we are making for summer 2026 reflect our long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity of Latvia and overall Baltic States with the rest of the world. By offering more destinations and increased frequencies, we aim to provide travellers with greater convenience, flexibility, and choice, while further supporting tourism, business, and economic development in Latvia and the entire region, and strengthening ties with Europe and beyond.”

Increasing Frequency of Existing Routes
The upcoming summer season also sees airBaltic increasing the frequency on nearly 30 existing routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius and Tampere. Destinations to be served more often include Istanbul, Larnaca, Malaga, Malta, Milan, Nice, Palma de Mallorca and Tbilisi.
Overall, the 2026 summer season will see airBaltic operate almost 110 routes across its bases, an approximate 7% increase from this year.
