The airlines will operate seven direct routes from Gran Canaria to Billund (Denmark), Riga (Latvia), Tallinn (Estonia), and Vilnius (Lithuania), connecting a range of countries.

Chief Commercial Officer at airBaltic, Thoms Ramdahl commented, “The new route between the two cities is expected to attract more tourists from Norway to Gran Canaria during the colder months, when travellers in Northern Europe are seeking sunny and warm destinations, while also providing residents of Gran Canaria the opportunity to explore Norway’s stunning natural landscapes. We are grateful to our partners in Gran Canaria for supporting this expansion, which improves the island’s connectivity to a variety of destinations in Europe.”

In addition to this, the flights between Gran Canaria and Molde will be operated by Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which offer wider seats, larger windows and more hand luggage space.

Moreover, the flight time between the two regions is 5 hours and 40 minutes (approximately).

In the span of 30 years, airBaltic has become a globally respected carrier, connecting the Baltic States to 80 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region, offering global connectivity.
