In January, Air Canada proudly celebrated being the official airline partner of the 2025 Most Inspiring Immigrants in Atlantic Canada ceremony for the third year in a row. The ceremony acknowledged 13 outstanding immigrants who have had an inspiring impact on the East Coast.

Air Canada Supports International Students with Scholarships

Air Canada also continues its support of My East Coast Experience, an organisation that tells the stories of newcomers and celebrates the contributions they bring to Canada’s East Coast. The organisation raises the profiles of immigrant voices using storytelling, cultural experiences, and its podcast “Our Guest Is – My East Coast Experience.” Currently, the podcast plays on Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment system.

Eric Lauzon, Director of Community Relations and Partnerships at Air Canada said:

“Being on the jury for this competition not only introduced me to many interesting and influential people, but also made me realise how proud, dedicated and resilient are the newcomers to our country who constantly go above and beyond to make their lives better in their new home, as well as those of others around them.”

Air Canada’s Commitment to International Community Support

Air Canada’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive Canada extends beyond this event. The airline supports initiatives such as the OneWorld Festival – GlobalFest in Calgary, celebrating the city’s multicultural identity.
