On Feb. 19, Aviation Capital Group (ACG) signed an agreement with Ireland Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited to include 24 aircraft in their portfolio. All the aircraft will be equipped with the latest technology available for widebody and narrowbody fleets.

24 aircraft added to the portfolio through this agreement
ACG is a global full-service commercial aircraft lease asset manager that has recently signed a deal that will include 18 narrowbody aircraft and 6 widebody aircraft. The approximate age of this portfolio is 4.5 years, and the average remaining lease term is 8.9 years. 16 countries will operate with these leased aircraft in many different airlines, including 4 new airlines that are new customers for ACG.
Regarding the new agreements, the CEO of ACG, Thomas Baker, stated:
“Proactive aircraft trading is an important pillar of our growth strategy, and the acquisition of these 24 sought-after aircraft strengthens our portfolio and supports our ambition to be a lessor of scale. It also enhances the sustainability of our fleet, already among the youngest in the industry.”
The new agreement is said to be a new strategic growth strategy, highlighting the importance of aircraft trade and Avolon as a long-term collaborative partner. Last year, the aircraft leasing industry recorded that costs remained high due to constrained global aviation capacity.

Extending the relationship, changing the aircraft leasing market
With 470 owned and managed aircraft as of Sept. 30, the new agreements with Avolon are said to ‘extend relations with ACG’ as stated by Ross O’Conner Chief of Finance at Avolon:
“Our latest portfolio transaction with ACG further extends our relationship and once again demonstrates their ability to execute aircraft trading at scale, The transaction builds on our record trading performance in 2025, reflecting the continuing strong demand we are seeing for our assets.”
This announcement follows after the 2025 acquisition that took place between the two entities. 19 aircraft were initially bought last year and both partners see their extended relationship as pertinent amid the dynamic period the aircraft leasing market is facing.
