British Budget airline Jet2 confirmed that one of its planes was forced to make an emergency stop mid-flight in Germany due to a medical emergency on board. The diversion caused a delay of almost two hours for the Jet2 aircraft.

On Monday, Sept. 14, an aircraft operated by Jet2, the third-largest airline in the UK, was diverted due to a medical emergency, according to the airline.
The aircraft was bound for Bourgas, the fourth largest city in Bulgaria, from London Stansted Airport (STN) as part of the flight route LS1413, which runs multiple times a week, typically on Mondays and Thursdays. Around an hour and a half into the journey, the aircraft was diverted to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in Germany, touching down at 5:43 p.m. local time.
While stationed on the tarmac at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) during the stopover, the Airbus A321 aircraft refuelled and the emergency was attended.
Short Delay
Jet2 announced in a statement:
“Due to a medical incident on board, we wanted to let you know that flight LS1413 London Stansted to Bourgas will need to make a fuel stop in Frankfurt. Once the plane has refuelled, it will then continue to Bourgas Airport. This is an unscheduled change, so we’re doing everything we can to minimise any disruption to your onward journey. Thanks in advance for your understanding and patience during this time – we’ll have you on your way as quickly as we can.”
Eventually, the aircraft reached Burgas at 10:27 p.m. local time (8:27 p.m. BST), approximately one hour and 45 minutes beyond its planned arrival time at the location, which was 8:40 p.m. local time.
