Shenzhen Airlines Sydney Route Timetable

This route connects Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport (SZX) and Sydney. Shenzhen Airlines will operate the route using an Airbus A330-300.

Flight ZH815 will depart Shenzhen at 00:20 and arrive in Sydney at 13:40 local time. The return flight ZH816 will depart Sydney at 22:30 and arrive in Shenzhen at 05:25 the following morning.

Sydney Airport expects this route to add approximately 130,000 seats annually, with an estimated 100,000 passengers. Shenzhen Airlines chairman Li Shuxing stated that the opening of the Sydney route is an important addition to Shenzhen Airlines’ international route network.

“Sydney is an important destination for our international network, and we look forward to welcoming passengers on board and working closely with Sydney Airport to make this service a success.”

More Travel Options Between China and Australia

Shenzhen Airlines will become the tenth Chinese airline to serve Sydney Airport. Its addition will bring the total number of airlines serving the airport to a record 55.

China remains a vital market for Sydney Airport. Currently, Chinese nationals are the second-largest international traveller group at Sydney Airport. According to airport data for the second quarter, the number of Chinese passengers increased by 13.9% year-on-year.

In 2025, Shenzhen was Sydney Airport’s seventh-largest destination in mainland China. At that time, approximately 56,000 passengers travelled directly between the two cities.

This new service will provide passengers with another direct route connecting southern China and Australia. Passengers arriving in Shenzhen can also connect to other destinations in Shenzhen Airlines’ network, including those in China, Asia, and Europe.
