After last week’s unveiling of the Aircrafted Arsenal Crest, Emirates is taking viewers behind the scenes to showcase engineering expertise and craftsmanship.The Aircrafted Arsenal Crest is a 2.4 meter replica of Arsenal’s club emblem. Made from upcycled aircraft parts by the Emirates Engineering team in Dubai, it marks 20 years of the partnership between Arsenal and Emirates. The item was transported via Emirates SkyCargo in a custom-built crate.
How Emirates made the Aircrafted Arsenal Crest
Created by the Emirates Engineering teams, the Arsenal Crest was built by a team of 15 experts in just 34 days. The Emirates Engineering teams cleaned, cut, assembled, and painted upcycled aircraft parts into Arsenal’s easily recognised football emblem.
With the sculpture polished and ready, it started its journey to Emirates Stadium. The Aircrafted Arsenal Crest was packaged in a custom-built crate designed for protection and sent to Emirates SkyCargo. The item was placed inside a freighter aircraft departing Dubai (DXB) for London Stansted (STN), and Emirates SkyCargo helped with the installation.

Moving beyond transportation, aircraft components linked to Emirates SkyCargo were used in the creation of the crest. This involves cargo tracks, floor panels and roller components which were used to help design and engineer the Arsenal emblem. In the process of creating this emblem, Emirates brought together expertise across the company to create a long-standing partnership of aviation and sports. Thus, uniting loyal customers from both aviation and sports.
The Emirates and Arsenal partnership started in 2006. It has extended into the long term, with the partnership to last until 2033. Consequently, Emirates will continue to work for the football team’s front-of-shirt, training kit and stadium naming rights partner.
