WestJet will operate its largest-ever winter schedule to Latin America and the Caribbean, offering up to 1,252 weekly flights across 88 non-stop routes between Canada and destinations in the region. The airline will increase capacity by 12% year on year, adding more frequencies and new routes for winter 2026/27.

Western Canada Sees Strongest Capacity Growth
WestJet is increasing services from several Canadian cities, with the largest growth coming from Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Regina.
Saskatoon will see capacity to sun destinations rise by 77%, including additional flights to Puerto Vallarta and Cancún. Edmonton will increase capacity by 34%, with twice as many weekly flights to Los Cabos and Montego Bay.
Calgary will see an 18% increase, including twice-daily Los Cabos services, additional flights to Cancún and a new route to Mérida. Winnipeg’s capacity will rise by 26%, with more flights to Costa Rica and Mexico, alongside new services to Belize City and Punta Cana.
Regina will record a 64% increase in capacity, including its first non-stop service to Los Cabos.

WestJet Adds Calgary–São Paulo Service
WestJet will also launch its first direct service between Western Canada and South America, connecting Calgary with São Paulo, Brazil. The approximately 14-hour service will operate with the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Through WestJet’s partnership with LATAM, passengers will also be able to connect to more than 60 destinations across South America on a single booking.
The airline’s winter Dreamliner schedule will also include seasonal services to Cancún, Puerto Vallarta and Maui, alongside year-round flights from Calgary to London Heathrow, Paris and Tokyo.
