Colombian airline Avianca has announced more frequent service between Bogotá (BOG) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and between Barranquilla (BAQ) and Miami (MIA). Starting on June 1, 2026, these flights will add to the more than 400 weekly flights the flag carrier airline operates across Latin America and the United States.

New and Improved Services between USA and Colombia

Avianca announced updates that will further strengthen its connections between Colombia and the United States, allowing for growth in sectors such as trade, tourism, and investment, particularly in Florida and the southern United States. The airline opened sales on May 8 for the flights, which have been amended to the following schedule:

  • Bogotá – Fort Lauderdale: An additional daily frequency will be added, for a total of two flights per day;
  • Barranquilla – Miami: Service will increase from three weekly frequencies to a daily frequency (one flight per day).

A spokesperson from Avianca had the following to say regarding the improved frequencies:

“This growth aims to strengthen Avianca’s global network, which currently connects North America with more than 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe, facilitating not only tourism but also trade.”
