With digital identities constantly evolving in the modern world, and how consumers purchase and track their retail spending, IATA and Turkish Airlines host annual WPS/WFS to centre their focus on the major transformations involving the aviation sector.

“IATA WFS/WPS is a unique opportunity to take stock of these changes, learn from those at the cutting edge of innovation, and align strategies,” said Sandrine Le Borgne, IATA Senior Vice President, Corporate Services & CFO.

Program schedule for attendees

The conference will open with important keynotes from Chairman of the Board at Turkish Airlines and will follow up with a series of sessions including:

  • 2025 Global Passenger Survey Results: This session will include exclusive highlights into traveller priorities following a survey from customer feedback, keeping the consumer at the heart of the conference.
  • Why Payment Should Be on Your Board Agenda: This session will dive into the $22 billion cost burden which refers to the significant financial issues the aviation sector are consistently facing.
  • Putting the Customer First: This will focus on finance, retailing, and operations.

“Aligning change to customer expectations is critical. At WFS/WPS 2025 we will reveal key insights from the latest IATA Global Passenger Survey (GPS). From past surveys we know that passengers care about how they shop and pay for travel and that they are eager for technology to make their travel better. So, we’ll use the GPS to help the industry unlock the value of innovation in digital identity, payments, and retailing,” said Nick Careen, IATA Senior Vice President, Operations, Safety and Security.
