Growth in August

Etihad welcomed two million travellers during August, which is a 22% increase compared to August 2024. The airline achieved a passenger load factor of 91%, an increase from 89% in the same month last year. The airline expanded its fleet to a total of 112, including its A321LR, which entered service during August.

The airline has several aircraft that service its growing network of 81 destinations, and with the addition of its new A321LR, the airline hopes to bring wide-body luxury to narrow-body operations for the first time in the region.

The airline’s A321LR features first-class suites and flat-laying business seats, available on medium-haul routes. The airline also saw an increase in its year-to-year statistics, carrying 14.2 million travellers, which represented an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2024, with an average passenger load factor of 88%.

Antonoaldo Neves, chief executive officer of Etihad Airways, stated that the month of August was a landmark month for Etihad Airways as it was the first time in its history that the airline had carried two million passengers in a single month. Neves stated that the record performance, along with their 22% year-on-year growth and a 91% load factor, reflects the trust that customers place in Etihad Airways.
