Deutsche Aircraft and Akaer have officially inaugurated the forward fuselage assembly line for the D328eco aircraft. This took place at Akaer’s facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil.

D328eco’s Forward Fuselage
The Brazilian aerospace and defense company, along with the German manufacturer, views this milestone as a key step in advancing the regional turboprop from development to industrialization. It highlights the program’s consistent progress toward entering the market in the fourth quarter of 2027. Akaer will lead the forward fuselage production, overseeing industrialization, tooling, prototype creation, and related engineering work.
The inauguration was attended by several prominent officials, including São José dos Campos Mayor Anderson Farias, São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, Vice Governor Felicio Ramuth, Air Brigadier Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues representing the Ministry of Defense/SEPROD, and Transport Minister Renan Junior.
Cesar Silva, chief executive officer at Akaer, commented that the D328eco will lead the way for more sustainable and efficient regional flights that connect smaller cities in Brazil and the rest of the world. Silva considered the opportunity of being part of the D328eco’s construction and playing a key role in its forward fuselage a great honour, as he called it a source of great pride. He added that this collaboration further strengthens Akaer’s position as a Tier 1 supplier. Nico Neumann, chief executive officer at Deutsche Aircraft, said:
“The launch of another fuselage production line at Akaer represents a key milestone in the industrialisation of the D328eco programme. Akaer’s expertise and ambition to grow into a globally recognised Tier 1 supplier make them an ideal partner—both technically and strategically—in the Brazilian market.”
