Delta Air Lines is strengthening its presence in Seattle with new nonstop services and the debut of two premium lounges inspired by the Emerald City. The new routes connect Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Barcelona and Rome, alongside the launch of the luxurious Delta One Lounge and the sophisticated Delta Sky Club.

Non-stop services to Barcelona and Rome
Beginning 6 May 2026, Delta will launch nonstop service from Seattle to Rome four times a week, followed by service to Barcelona three times a week starting 7 May.
Glen Hauenstein, President of Delta Air Lines, said:
“With new international service and the opening of our Delta One Lounge, we’re investing in what matters most to our customers—exceptional, premium experiences—and reinforcing our role as Seattle’s largest global carrier.”
To complement these enhancements, Delta has secured priority access to 18 gates across Concourses A and B, streamlining operations and delivering a more elevated experience for travellers from check-in to take-off.
Passengers will travel on the next-generation Airbus A330-900neo, offering Delta’s premium cabin experiences:
- Delta One includes lie-flat seats with full-height privacy doors, direct aisle access, and curated in-flight meals paired with premium wines.
- Delta Premium Select features a more spacious seat, adjustable footrest and leg rest, upgraded dining, and an amenity kit.

Seattle-Tacoma Airport’s new luxury Delta lounges
For the first time, Delta is opening two lounges in a single space, situated across from Gate A11.
The two-story space spans more than 24,000 square feet, offering panoramic mountain views, elegant design, and premium amenities tailored to every guest.
Claude Roussel, vice president of Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience said:
“Our goal throughout the design process was to create a space that captures both Seattle’s beautiful aesthetic and soul.
“From locally sourced food and artwork by Washington-based artists to sustainable design, this space reflects the spirit and values of the Pacific Northwest.”
The Delta One Lounge on the upper level provides seating for 149 guests indoors, along with a wraparound terrace offering striking views of Mount Rainier.
It features a Seattle-inspired fine dining experience with an open kitchen and a three-course menu featuring locally sourced seafood like wood-fired teriyaki steelhead and desserts such as chocolate mousse, along with Pacific Northwest breakfasts such as Dutch baby pancakes topped with Rainier cherry compote.
Guests can also enjoy coffee from Seattle’s own Caffe Umbria and cocktails inspired by iconic Seattle landmarks and premium wine.
The Delta Sky Club on the lower level accommodates 183 guests, with expansive windows showcasing views of nearby mountains and forests.
It features seasonal dishes like lemon chicken, ribs, and clam chowder from Seattle’s Ivar’s, along with desserts such as coconut cream pie and marionberry crumble. Guests can enjoy Starbucks coffee, a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine and non-alcoholic drinks.
Reflecting Seattle’s natural beauty, the space incorporates stone accents, rich wood panelling, and a palette of emerald, navy, rust, and warm wood tones, complemented by curated lighting and artwork from both global and Seattle-based artists. This includes Pam Kueny Taylor’s mixed media piece, “Time to Migrate”, featuring a bird perched atop suitcases.
As of 25 June, eligible Delta One passengers flying in any cabin who check in via the Fly Delta app and enrol in TSA PreCheck with Touchless ID (formerly Delta Digital ID) can access expedited bag drop and security lanes – a benefit set to roll out across all Delta hubs by the end of 2025.
This is the fourth Delta One Lounge added to the network in the past year and the third new Delta Sky Club, bringing the total number of lounges and clubs to 57.

Creating a sustainable space and experience
At SEA, 87% of Delta’s core fleet and 70% of its ground support equipment are now electric.
Last year, the Port of Seattle recognised the airline with a Sustainable Century Award for operating the highest percentage of fuel-efficient aircraft at the airport.
The new lounges feature smart windows that adjust to sunlight, fully electric energy use, motion-sensing lights, and reusable dinnerware to reduce waste.

Continued investment in Seattle
Delta Air Lines ongoing investment in Seattle is reflected in its partnerships with local brands like Starbucks and T-Mobile, and its sponsorship of local sports teams, including the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders FC.
The airline has launched 28 new markets from Seattle over the past decade and now operates nearly 180 peak-day departures to more than 60 global destinations.
Port of Seattle Commissioner Fred Felleman said:
“We welcome the opportunity to grow our partnership with Delta as they expand Seattle’s connections to international communities and businesses.”
