Lufthansa Group announced a huge move in the harmonisation of status benefits. The Group’s frequent travellers could use the ITA Airways lounges from July 1, 2025.

New benefits for Lufthansa Group’s travellers
The harmonisation brings many benefits to the Group’s travellers, including extended lounge access, further status benefits, and priority check-in and baggage allowance.
From Jul 1, all status customers could enjoy the service in the lounges of the Lufthansa Group Airlines and the ITA Airways lounges in Milan, Rome and Catania, further expanding and enhancing the lounge accessibility at Italian airports.
For Frequent Travellers, Senators and HON Circle Members, there are further benefits.
All Lufthansa Group’s status passengers who choose to fly with ITA Airways could have the additional privileges of priority check-in, additional baggage allowance and waiting list priority.
Senators and HON Circle Members, on the other hand, could access the service of priority boarding, fast lane access, accelerated baggage handling and free seat reservations.

Current benefits you might not know
While many benefits would be applied after Jul 1, there are some existing services you might be overlooked since the ITA Airways became the Lufthansa Group’s fifth network airline. So, here is a recap:
From February 2025 onward, Miles and More members could earn and redeem miles on all ITA Airways flights. Travellers could also earn Points, Qualifying Points and, in Business Class, HON Circle Points.
For the 2025 summer timetable, all passengers have also benefited from over 100 new connections across Europe from a code-share partnership.
Lufthansa Group Chief Commercial Officer Dieter Vranckx said:
“The harmonisation of our Frequent Traveller status benefits across the Lufthansa Group marks a significant step for our most loyal guests. It underlines our commitment to a first-class and seamless travel experience. By expanding lounge access and introducing additional privileges for Lufthansa Group status customers, we are offering more convenience and flexibility.”
Lufthansa Group Vice President Loyalty Marcus Frank added:
“The new benefits for our guests are part of our ongoing efforts to further improve our loyalty program and offer added value to our status customers.”
