Eve Air Mobility made waves at the Paris Air Show 2025 by showcasing their advancements in electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL). The company highlighted its refinements in aircraft designs, progress in its rigorous testing programs, and the expansion of its integrated service solutions under the TechCare portfolio as part of its commitment to the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) program.
eVTOL design updates
Eve Air Mobility’s eVTOL design updates aim to make strides in the fields of safety, efficiency, and passenger experience. Some of these advancements include:
- Wheeled landing gear option: Wheeled landing gear with optional lightweight skids enhances manoeuvrability on the ground and minimises energy consumption.
- Optimised cabin interior: Lightweight seats and a full-flex cabin design allow for more passengers, more energy efficiency, and versatility between passenger and cargo configurations.
- Lifters and pushers: Lifters and a pusher, alongside innovative blade design, allow for more efficient cruising and a safer, quieter flight.
- Advanced wing design: Embraer-optimised wing designs combine simplicity with performance.
- Intuitive cockpit: Streamline the pilot experience and reduce workload with a four-axis sidestick-only cockpit.
Testing program advancements
Employing a methodical approach to testing, Eve Air Mobility emphasises a comprehensive ground-based validation to ensure safety and compliance.

“Our approach is ‘certify to fly, not fly to certify’. We understand the responsibility of pioneering a new era of flight and are focusing on exhaustive ground testing, leveraging Embraer’s extensive experience in aircraft certification, to validate performance and ensure compliance before commencing flight tests.”
The first flights are aimed for this summer, utilising five or six prototypes for development and certification flights through 2026.
TechCare
Eve Air Mobility’s TechCare portfolio is a cornerstone of its integrated service solutions and is aimed at supporting the entire eVTOL lifecycle. This includes pilot training through Embraer-CAE Training Services, maintenance via Embraer’s global service centres, and a battery exchange system powered by BAE Systems. Air traffic management solutions further enhance UAM efficiency.
