Airline of the Year (Global Award)

Amongst other winners, the airline came out on top winning the Airline of the Year (Global Award).

Ali Türk, Chief Cargo Officer at Turkish Airlines, said:

“We are truly honoured to be recognised as the ‘Cargo Airline of the Year – Global’ by such a respected platform. This award is a powerful testament to the strength of our operations, our technology-driven infrastructure, our people-first culture, and our sustainable approach to service delivery. It is the result of a team that moves in unity, acts with responsibility, and creates value together in every condition. I extend my heartfelt thanks to our customers for their trust, to all our colleagues for their dedication, and to the industry stakeholders who deemed us worthy of this recognition.”

The judges of the award commended Turkish Cargo for their high quality in several categories such as customer satisfaction, global network strength, compliance with international safety standards, operational performance, and digital innovation.

The World Air Cargo Awards serve to bring attention to the companies, people, and different solutions that are driving airfreight into the future. This year held a record number of entries and expanded their set of categories to reflect the growth of the industry.

Who are Turkish Cargo?

Turkish Cargo, the cargo brand for the flag carrier Turkish Airlines, is currently serving 130 countries worldwide with over 340 destinations, and has been handling air cargo operations since 1933. The airlines is making big strides each year with the awards they are racking up, having won two awards last year at Air Cargo India 2024 winning the “Innovative International Cargo Airline of the Year” and the “International Award for Excellence in Air Cargo” awards.

The airlines’ vision of a sustainable future saw them start their ‘#MissionRescue’ campaign where they work to contribute to the homecoming of various endangered animals such as the griffon vulture, or circus lions.

Turkish Cargo, along with Turkish Airlines, are slowly making progress in their respective sectors with a flow of good news such as the Turkish Airlines’ Chairman recently securing a second term on the IATA board.
