The Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) has granted type certification to the E190-E2 and E195-E2 aircraft produced by Embraer. A type certificate means that these aircraft and all of their parts meet safety standards set out by the MCAA. These aircraft will now be able to enter the Mongolian aviation market. The aircraft are also certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

Mongolia is a small but fast-growing market for Embraer as its airlines aim to better connect the country to the rest of Asia. The ERJ-145 joined Aero Mongolia’s fleet in 2018. In 2019, Hunnu Air added two E190 aircraft to its fleet for domestic and international routes between Mongolia and nearby countries. In 2023, Hunnu Air began direct flights between Ulaanbaatar and Beijing Daxing airports using Embraer’s E-Jets.
