Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced a huge expansion programme for the summer of 2025, launching 28 new routes across 17 countries.

About the expansion
The routes include expanding routes to reach destinations within Europe and other international spots from April to October.
The airline will offer an additional 2.2 million seats compared to last year, providing a total of 23 million seats. Most of the flights will depart from the airline’s home hub, Copenhagen.
22 routes will operate between Copenhagen and numerous worldwide destinations, including flights to Milan, Krakow, Wroclaw, Lyon, and beyond within the Europe mainland.
The schedule also includes new intercontinental routes to Seoul four times per week and Seattle five times per week.
In addition to Copenhagen, SAS is also launching flights from Sweden and Norway.
In Sweden, three new routes will depart from Arlanda to Beirut, Bodø, and Keflavik twice a week.
In Norway, two routes will operate from Oslo to Rhodes and New York. A route will also operate between Bergen and Malaga twice a week.
To further improve connectivity, SAS is also increasing its service in some hot spots, including Toronto, Berlin, Florence, and Prague. The airline has claimed it will offer 70% more opportunities to connect within the 122 destinations.
Henrik Winell from SAS Vice President Network said:
“This summer programme represents an important milestone for SAS as we embark on our largest summer expansion ever, introducing 28 new routes and significantly increasing capacity to 23 million seats. By broadening our network and optimising travel options, we will provide our customers with unparalleled access to destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.”
