Bombardier Business Aircraft has announced the delivery of a Challenger 605 to Türkiye’s Bonair.  This bold move enhances its presence in the country and the broader Middle East. Bonair is a Turkish aircraft management and charter company based in Istanbul.

Bonair’s Challenger 605 business jet

The Challenger 605 enhances Bonair’s status with the addition of 10 business jets. Specifically, these include a Challenger 850, a Citation Bravo, a Citation V, three Gulfstream GIV-SPs, a Global Express XRS, a Hawker 750, and two 850XPs. This addition fulfils the company’s standards of reliable, high-performance business aviation solutions.

Khader Mattar, Regional Vice President of Bombardier Business Aircraft said:

“We are thrilled to add another Challenger 605 business jet to our current fleet of aircraft in Turkey. The Challenger family of aircraft is very popular in the Middle East and accounts for over 60 percent of Bombardier’s deliveries in the region.”

It is worth mentioning that the Challenger 605, which is famous for its wide cabin and cost-efficiency, offers a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles. It is flexible, making it capable of various regional and international flights. For instance, it easily allows long-haul flights that connect popular destinations such as Dubai, London, and Seoul.

Bombardier’s popularity and activities in the Middle East

Currently, Bombardier jets operate 25% of the aviation market in the Middle East. This delivery reflects Bombardier’s target of adding 1.095 business jet deliveries to the Middle East over the next two decades. Thus, the company’s Challenger series, including the 605 and its successor, the Challenger 650,  has fair chances of remaining popular with operators in this dynamic region.

As Bonair integrates the Challenger 605 into its fleet and continues to expand radically one wonders: How will this addition form its future in the fast-growing Middle Eastern aviation market?  Share your thoughts in the comments below.
