Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is honoring its Arabic heritage ahead of UNESCO’s World Arabic Language Day on Dec. 18. Serving more than 140 destinations worldwide, the airline celebrates Arabic traditions with its millions of customers annually.

Arabic is central to Emirates’ brand and operations, from its iconic logo to its robust customer services. With over 4,000 Arabic-speaking cabin crew, the airline ensures seamless communication and hospitality for Arabic-speaking travelers.

Emirates Celebrates Arabic Culture Through Iconic Logo and Services

Emirates celebrates Arabic language through its iconic logo and extensive services, reflecting the airline’s deep-rooted connection to its UAE heritage. The logo, featuring elegant Arabic calligraphy, symbolises this commitment, showcasing how Emirates celebrates Arabic language in its global branding. Specifically, it was designed in 1985 and updated in 1999, the stylised script “الإمارات” reflects sophistication and cultural pride.

Additionally, this commitment extends to customer service, with Emirates’ website and app fully accessible in Arabic, allowing users to book flights, manage reservations, and check flight status in their native language. Offering Arabic services and support through phone, email, and social media, Emirates celebrates Arabic language by ensuring a seamless experience for Arabic-speaking customers worldwide.

Emirates Enhances Customer Experience

Onboard, Emirates provides Arabic safety videos, signage, and in-flight announcements. Menus are presented in Arabic, featuring regional dishes that highlight Middle Eastern cuisine. The airline’s inflight entertainment system, ice, offers a wide selection of Arabic content, reinforcing its dedication to cultural preservation.

By integrating Arabic into every aspect of its operations, Emirates sets a global example of celebrating and promoting the language and culture.

However, Arabic is central to Emirates’ heritage and future, reflected in the airline’s support of cultural initiatives that promote the language. Among these is the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, scheduled for Jan. 29 in Dubai.

Overall , the festival also provides a platform for local authors and emerging talents, emphasising Emirates’ commitment to preserving and promoting Arabic culture.
