Air Canada welcomes new Canadians during the citizenship ceremony at Calgary’s Global Fest. Ken Goosen, the Global Fest Chief of Operations, delivered a warm welcome to the new citizens: ‘Welcome to Canada. Welcome home.’ This ceremony has been taking place every year since 2014.

Air Canada’s Continuous Support To The Citizens

It is crucial for us at Air Canada to promote our cultural diversity, as we believe this is what allows everyone to reach their highest potential. I am very proud to contribute to it and see the employees of Calgary-based employees engaged with the festival

Eric Lauzon, Director of Community Relations & Partnerships at Air Canada said in a statement to the media.

The official airline of the event, Air Canada, proudly supported GlobalFest’s citizenship ceremony in Calgary. The festival, also known as the OneWorld Festival, attracts tens of thousands of people annually over five days. Indeed, it has welcomed a group of 50 newcomers from 20 different countries to Canada and Calgary.

Moreover, Air Canada has been partnering with the festival since 2017, specifically supporting the citizenship ceremony. It demonstrates the airline’s strong dedication to celebrating and promoting Calgary’s ethno-cultural diversity and artistic excellence. The objective of this partnership is to bring the community together and foster a more inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous society.

David Rheault, Vice President, Government and Community Relations at Air Canada highlights the importance of the event :

The airline plays a significant role in the immigration process for many people, and the Citizenship Ceremony is a meaningful event that marks the realization of their dreams and their journey to Canada.
