World Aviation Festival Announces Official Airport Partner

The World Aviation Festival has announced Royal Schiphol Group as their Official Airport Partner for this year’s event. World Aviation Festival is an annual conference and exhibition event meant for the leaders of the world’s airlines, airports, and their most senior executives in charge of software, services, marketing, and distribution

Royal Schiphol Group

The Royal Schiphol Group is a major a leading airport company that manages Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Their airports have operations all network the Netherlands, which foster international connections for passengers, cargo, and the global economy.

President & CEO of the Group, Pieter van Oord in a statement has said:

“We are proud to be the host airport for the world’s most exciting commercial aviation event. The World Aviation Festival has quadrupled in size over the last five years, attracting airlines, airports and key industry stakeholders from all over the world.”

The Group has plans to become the world’s most sustainable airport network. This includes achieving zero-waste and emissions operations at their airports by 2030. The group also has goals to become energy-positive and fully embrace circular economy principles. Aside from this, Schiphol Group is working towards net-zero emission air travel by 2050 within the aviation sector.

This year’s event will be held in Amsterdam from 8-10  Oct

The organisers of the event had this to say.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Royal Schiphol Group as the Official Airport Partner for the World Aviation Festival. Their dedication to innovation and sustainability perfectly aligns with our mission of fostering a future-focused aviation industry.”

This year’s World Aviation Festival will hold 8-10  Oct. 2024 in Amsterdam with over 3,000 attendees already confirmed and 5,000 expected later.  Professionals from across the sector will attend and provide insights into the latest aviation developments, innovations, and trends. Some confirmed speakers include Marjan Rintel, KLM; Patrick Roux, SkyTeam; and József Váradi, WizzAir.
