Wizz Air to serve new destinations:

The budget airline has became the biggest carrier in the Luton Airport after the six new flights. They are set to bring an Airbus A321 neo aircraft to the hub.

They has taken over the space of TUI and has revealed six new destinations from their London based hub, Luton. The six new destinations are Lyon, Yerevan, Alicante, Corfu, Faro and Turin.

They will be serving these destinations from the 2026 summer. Yerevan, capital of Armenia is set to receive its first direct from the Wizz Air.

They will be flying to Yerevan from June 12 and tickets are starting from £36.99. Since pandemic, the capital city of Armenia has saw a rapid growth in tourism. This move from the airline will boost their tourism to grow more.

Among the six new destinations, Yerevan becomes the only Asian destination. Meanwhile, Corfu becomes the fifth Greek destination after Chania, Rhodes, Mykonos, and Zakynthos.

Wizz Air at Luton Airport:

After these six new routes, the number of destinations for the budget airline has became 66 from Luton Airport. Yvonne Moynihan, Managing Director at Wizz Air UK is very excited about the new destinations. Yvonne said,

“This announcement underlines our continued commitment to London Luton Airport and the wider UK market. Securing additional slots at Luton strengthens our competitive position in the London market. With the launch of our 15th based aircraft at London Luton Airport, we’re delighted to deliver a festive surprise by introducing six exciting new routes, including the first-ever direct connection from London to Armenia.”

Simon Harley , Interim Director of Aeronautical Revenue at London Luton Airport has also reciprocated the same emotions of Yvonne. Simon said,

“2025 is drawing to a close after another successful year at London Luton Airport. And we’re already excited for what is set to be a bumper summer 2026. With the addition of six further new Wizz Air routes – including the up-and-coming, and previously unserved from LLA, capital of Armenia, Yerevan, alongside other popular holiday and city break destinations to Alicante, Lyon, Corfu, Faro and Turin – this demonstrates how LLA’s partnership with Wizz Air continues to provide even greater choice and a simple, friendly passenger experience for the millions of people who choose to travel from LLA each year.”
