WestJet and RBC recently launched a new World Elite Mastercard‡ for Business.

WestJet and RBC launch new business credit card to reward corporate travel

WestJet and RBC recently launched a new World Elite Mastercard‡ for Business. Primary cardholders could gain Silver status with WestJet Rewards and can enjoy a wide range of benefits, including travel insurance, which includes trip interruption and trip cancellation insurance.

The points earning system of the newly launched card is flexible. The points earned by secondary business cardholders will automatically be added to the WestJet Rewards account of the primary business cardholder. In addition, for the business cardholder who also has a personal WestJet RBC credit card, they can combine WestJet points earned with their card seamlessly. These features will enable them to reach a higher status faster

The primary cardholders will receive Tier One membership in WestJet Biz, an online tool to manage corporate travel.

Flexible Earning and Redeeming Options for Business Travellers

Primary cardholders can earn:

  • Up to 6 points per CAD dollar on WestJet flights and holiday packages (with Silver status)
  • 3 points per dollar on telecommunications, shipping, and electronics
  • 1.5 points per dollar on all other purchase

Points can be redeemed for:

  • Flights (partial or full cost), including taxes and fees
  • Seat selection, checked baggage, and cabin upgrades
  • Merchandise and gift cards via the WestJet Rewards eStore
  • Access to WestJet Biz for smarter travel management

Additional benefits include:

  • Six complimentary lounge passes and four advance seat selection vouchers
  • Free first checked bag for the cardholder and up to eight guests
  • Priority security access at Calgary International Airport (YYC)
  • Status Lift to help reach higher WestJet Rewards tiers
  • Comprehensive travel insurance coverage
  • Access to Mastercard Travel Pass by DragonPass
  • Lifestyle perks with partners like DoorDash‡, H&R Block‡, Petro-Canada‡, and Rexall‡
