Volotea has announced the opening of a new base in Europe alongside their 12th in France at Limoges Aéroport, strengthening their relationship with France. This marks Volotea’s first ever operations from Limoges, in Southwestern France.

Volotea, the low-cost Spanish airline which was founded in 2011, announces the opening of two new bases to further provide non-stop, direct flights to numerous European cities.
Beginning Feb. 19, the launch of the Paris – Orly PSO (Public Service Obligation) route will meet the demands of locals and travellers alike, with two daily flights throughout the week and an extra flight on Sundays. This flight will offer nearly 190,000 seats through to March 2027 – with the new base at Limoges linking with one of France’s main national hubs.

The new base will host an Airbus A319, providing jobs for the local area
Alongside a fleet of over 40 Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, Volotea plans to home one A319 at Limoges Airport, ready to provide the daily flights.
Around 30 direct jobs are predicted to be provided from the new base, including cabin crew. To apply for cabin crew from this new base, you need the to live within 60 minutes of the airport and hold a European passport. More than 170 indirect jobs are estimated to become available through operations at the base.
