London to Seoul:

Virgin Atlantic will operate daily flights from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) from 29 March, 2026.

After drawing attention from the younger generation people, Seoul gets a direct flight from London which will boost tourism in South Korea and cultural collaboration between both countries.

This is going to be the airline’s first ever flight to South Korea. Virgin Atlantic plans to serve Boeing 777 Dreamliner for this route to confirm its strong position as an international carrier from LHR.

The airline believes this service will attract a lot of travellers from both the countries as this service will start in the northern summer season, when long-haul leisure travel peaks.

In addition to the above, Seoul was named as Favourite Worldwide City at the 2025 Trazees Awards for the fourth consecutive year. This clearly shows the popularity of Seoul among the travellers.

Virgin Atlantic’s global reach:

The decision from Virgin Atlantic to serve flights for the first time to South Korea shows that the airline plans to expand its network around the world.

They plan to increase and start their service to several other countries like Phuket, Thailand based on the demographic level trends among younger generation people.

After restructuring and renewing the fleets, Virgin Atlantic continues to prioritise its long distance destinations to increase its market globally.
