Uzbekistan Airways expands Boeing Dreamliner Fleet

The airline signed the deal for the conversion of options into a firm order for eight Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on November 6 in Washington, D.C., within the framework of the C5+1 Summit. Uzbekistan Airways and Boeing held a signing ceremony, with Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Chairman of the Board of the airline, and Paul Righi, Boeing’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, finalising the deal.

With this latest agreement, Uzbekistan’s national carrier has now placed a total of 22 firm orders for the Dreamliners. The airline had placed an order with Boeing for 14 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners as part of their fleet modernisation strategy earlier in September. The agreement had included purchase rights for an additional eight aircraft.

The airline plans to further expand its international route network and strengthen its position in the global aviation market with this fleet expansion.
