TUI UK have announced that they expect to move its last aircraft from London Luton Airport to London Gatwick by summer 2026. The company are also looking to move away from their Headquarters in Wigmore House.

Currently, TUI offers over 45 flights from Gatwick Airport. The move to relocate their Luton aircraft comes after the company deemed the change meant it would be “operating in the most commercially and operationally effective way.”

Customers Still Able to Book TUI Flights from Luton

TUI says that the move will allow them to follow their “long-term strategy to strengthen core operations”. However, this change does not mean that TUI aircraft will not return to Luton Airport. A flight going to Palma, Mallorca, will make a stop in Luton to either pick up or drop off passengers. Additionally, as a spokesperson for the airline stated, they “will continue to offer holidays from Luton Airport through our trusted airline partners.” This means customers will still be able to book flights from the Luton airport, but TUI will use partner airlines to make the journeys instead, such as easyJet and Ryanair.

TUI Head Office Changing Location to be more Eco-friendly

While the airline’s UK headquarters will remain in Luton, they will be switching to the Capability Green business park after the end of their lease at Wigmore House. Neil Swanson, TUI UK&I Managing Director, stated that the move “marks a key milestone in supporting our growth, innovation, and collaboration. Importantly, this relocation supports our long-term environmental commitment and will provide our teams with a cutting-edge, sustainable workplace that meets the needs of the future”.

Following these changes, cabin crew still working aboard TUI’s Luton aircraft have reported being offered the chance to relocate. Staff at Wigmore House will not be affected by the move, as they will simply be changing offices.
