What This New Lounge Offers to Passengers

The new airport lounge at Arlanda Airport was inaugurated on the Feb. 14, 2025, in Terminal 5’s gate area F. This new lounge will offer a break from long-distance walking for passengers who have a long walk to get to their gate.

With easy access to the lounge, passengers can also expect an extra 50% of seating options for EuroBonus’s gold and diamond members, courtesy of SAS Airlines.

During the day, passengers using the lounge can sample the light snacks and beverages available. These include Carlsberg, the leading brewery in Scandinavia, which collaborated on this lounge’s opening.

Vice President of Product & Loyalty of SAS, Aron Backström, had this to say:

We are pleased to announce that passengers now have access to exclusive services just a short walk away, regardless of their departure gate. The SAS Lounge by Mastercard builds on our highly valued collaborations and marks a significant milestone in our shared mission to improve the customer experience.

The Business Behind the Airport Lounge’s Opening

SAS Airlines has worked with Mastercard to implement this lounge and increase travellers’ trust in this airline. The continuation of providing high-quality service and attention to detail is paramount for SAS Airlines.

The hotel network Scandic also plays a part in this new airport lounge, as Scandic Hotels Group CCO Therese Cedercreutz explains:

“We are taking a spot in SAS’ new lounge at Arlanda to create a breakfast experience that gives travellers a great start to their day while inspiring them to discover our fantastic hotels. The partnership between the leading players in the tourism industry in the Nordic region means that a range of exciting benefits await our members in the future,”
