SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) is gearing up for the Summer 2026 season by expanding with nine new routes, six new destinations and increased connectivity across Europe, North America and Asia, with the aim of reinforcing Copenhagen’s role as Scandinavia’s global hub.

SAS Expands for Summer
Summer 2026 marks a jump in capacity, with a 20 percent increase in seat capacity for flights departing from Copenhagen. The Summer 2026 schedule will have the most destinations of any SAS Summer schedule yet, combining high-demand business routes with leisure travel destinations in order to give passengers smoother connections and greater flexibility.
SAS aims to build on its reputation with this schedule, having earned the prestigious title of Europe’s — and the world’s — most punctual airline for multiple months. President and CEO of SAS, Anko van der Werff, had the following to say about SAS’ upcoming schedule:
“We are excited to present our largest summer program in SAS’ history, which reflects the strong momentum we’re having as a company. With two more Airbus A350s, more destinations and better connectivity than ever before, we’re offering our customers an unmatched level of choice and flexibility. This expansion underscores our ambition to grow, to further strengthen Copenhagen as Scandinavia’s global hub, and to provide our customers with reliable, world class punctual travel on a broader scale.”
