Home to some of the world’s finest hotels, casinos, and restaurants, it’s no surprise that Las Vegas has long been one of the UK’s most popular travel destinations. Las Vegas, a quintessentially American city, simply offers an experience that would be impossible to replicate on these shores.
And while there’s never a bad time to visit Sin City, now may be a better time than most thanks to the availability of cheap transatlantic flights from Norse that may soon come to an end. The Norwegian airline began running a service between London Heathrow and Las Vegas back in September, but there are signs that the route may soon cease. As of now, cheap flights to Las Vegas are available until the end of March, with none scheduled for later months.
If you’ve been planning to visit Las Vegas, then now may be the best opportunity, flight-wise, that you’ll have for a while. Visiting Sin City in February also offers its own advantages, provided you follow some handy tips.

Save on Hotels
Visiting Las Vegas in February allows you to save on more than just the cost of the flight. You’ll also likely save money on accommodation, too. While it depends on the days of the week you’ll be travelling, along with how many conventions are taking place in the city, you can expect to pay around 30% less for a hotel room in February than you would during the peak season.
Don’t aim to save too much money on your accommodation, however. The cheapest rooms will be away from The Strip, but if it’s your first trip, then you’ll want to be bang in the middle of the action. Also, keep in mind that The Strip is four miles long, so it’s best to look for hotels in the central part if you want to feel the energy of the city.
Experience the Casinos
Las Vegas receives more than 40 million visitors each year, the majority of whom visit during the summer months. One of the benefits of visiting Las Vegas during the low season rather than the high season is that you’ll enjoy fewer crowds, which is especially welcome when visiting the city’s major casinos. They still have a buzzing atmosphere during the low period, but it’s also easier to get a seat at a table. It’s the best of both worlds, essentially.
If you’re travelling to Vegas specifically for the casinos, then keep in mind that games can function a little differently there than they do in the UK. The roulette on offer, for instance, is the American version, not the European version, which, while similar, is slightly different from what we play back home. Visitors can play at a site that has both versions before they travel to ensure they’re not caught out once they’re stateside. It can also be useful to brush up on your other table games if you’re planning to play; while dealers will be more inclined to explain the rules of, say, blackjack, if the table is quiet, it’s not guaranteed.

Discounted Shows
Most tourist destinations tend to slow down a little during the winter months and speed up once the warmer months roll around. But Las Vegas isn’t like that. In Sin City, the action never grinds to a halt, and you’ll have the chance to enjoy the city’s best shows even if you’re visiting during the “quieter” period of the year. As with hotels, you can also benefit from cheaper tickets, since it’s less likely that an event will sell out.
Tickets will likely be cheaper on the show’s official website anyway, but you can get even further discounts — sometimes as much as 50% — by waiting until you land and buying from a reseller ticket booth.
Head to Las Vegas Today There’ll likely be other budget flight routes to Las Vegas from London in the future, but there’s no guarantee. As such, it’s best to take advantage of Norse Airlines flights today and enjoy Sin City during the quieter time of year.
