Miles & More Members Can Now Join on ITA Airways Flights

The Miles & More  points frequent flyer programme of the Lufthansa Group now features ITA Airways flights.

The Miles & More  points frequent flyer programme of the Lufthansa Group now features ITA Airways flights. Members who fly with airlines can now collect Points, Qualifying Points, and HON Circle Points, this way they can improve their chances of either joining Lufthansa Group frequent flyers or remain for a longer period.

ITA Airways has officially joined the Lufthansa Group, offering passengers more benefits. Although members could already accrue and use miles on flights operated by airlines , this new feature firmly ties the airline into the program. Similar to other airlines and co-issuing Miles & More airline partners, can use the same system for calculating points earned on flights.

Furthermore, ITA Airways’ frequent flyer club, Volare, members can now accrue and redeem  Volare Points on Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines. This new opportunity to qualify for Lufthansa Group status on airlines  flights marks a major step in their collaboration.

Later he added :

“This is a significant strategic step as loyalty is a key success factor of this integration, since we can offer seamless benefits and an even more comprehensive offering to our loyal passengers.”

Caroline Drischel, Senior Vice President Customer Journey at Lufthansa Group, emphasised the advantages for frequent passengers. 

“I am delighted for the most loyal customers of Lufthansa Group airlines, which now includes ITA Airways. The ability to earn Points for Lufthansa Group frequent flyer status provides them with even more benefits.”

Welcome Promotion: Earn Up to 6,000 Bonus Miles

 Members can take advantage of a special welcome promotion in honour of ITA Airways’ acquisition by the organisation group. Travellers who fly with airlines  between March 1 and April 15, 2025, can earn 2,000 extra miles for two continental trips and 4,000 miles for two inter continentals.

The integration of airlines into the Lufthansa Group and its frequent flyer programme is intended to provide travellers with a more seamless experience, including improved flexibility and benefits across numerous airlines.
