Loganair: The UK’s Most Punctual Airline
Loganair, which is headquartered in Glasgow (GLA) and has bases in Aberdeen (ABZ), Edinburgh (EDI), Inverness (INV) and Newcastle upon Tyne (NCL), is the UK’s largest regional airline. In the second quarter of 2025, 86 percent of its flights arrived on time, which meant that it was recognised as the UK’s most punctual airline for Q2 of 2025. The airline has celebrated this achievement as a mark of its dedication to its customers and the professionalism of its team.
In a post on LinkedIn, Luke Farajallah, chief executive officer at Loganair Ltd, said the following regarding the airline’s success:
“For any airline, but in my opinion especially for regional airlines, having a sharp focus on consistently strong operational performance is a non-negotiable. These results are testament to many hundreds of people doing small things to a consistently high standard. Our people are amazing.”
The airline has also achieved the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration, highlighting the airline’s commitment to safety standards and opening the doors of potential international partnerships in the future.

Multiple Key Appointments at Loganair
As well as achieving the title of “Most Punctual Airline”, Loganair has also made multiple key appointments within its ranks to further its core values of operational excellence and industry leadership.
The airline welcomes Farrah Malik as its Interim Chief Financial Officer following the departure of Chris Gemmell, who previously served as Chief Financial Officer. Farrah Malik has more than 20 years of experience in senior leadership, having previously taken up leadership roles at John Lewis Partnership and leading British low-cost airline EasyJet, where she served as Head of Commercial Finance for more than five years. Loganair hopes that her extensive expertise in both commercial finance and revenue management will aid in strengthening its financial operations.
Simon McNamara also joins the ranks of Loganair as Head of Government and Corporate Affairs effective Sept. 1, 2025. His career in regional aviation and public affairs, most notably his experience in an identical role at Heart Aerospace, is hoped to help Loganair enhance its relationships with government bodies and industry stakeholders.
Luke Farajallah, Chief Executive Officer of Loganair, added,
“This is a very exciting time for our business, with our additional base in Southampton now only months away. To support this growth, we are delighted to welcome Farrah and Simon to our senior team.”
