Korean Air has unveiled its newly renovated Prestige Lounge at the Incheon International Airport Terminal 2, officially opening to the wider public on the 14th of January.

A New Era of Lounge Experiences

Korean Air has unveiled its Prestige East (Left) Lounge, located on the fourth floor of Terminal 2 and spanning a total of 1,553 square meters with 192 seats. It offers a full range of amenities from a buffet and bar to work-friendly areas and shower facilities, alongside a range of new experiential zones that move beyond traditional airport lounge conventions.

One of the standout additions is the introduction of the Ramyeon Library, allowing guests to customise their own instant noodles at a self-service station, choosing their preferred noodles and toppings that are then cooked instantly by automated machines. The interactive cuisine experience is taken one step further with the Cooking Studio L’atelier, which offers participation-based classes with chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon.

These hands-on experiences hope to diversify and engage different passenger demographics, with particular consideration for families. The introduction of an arcade room serves as a new entertainment zone for young children, including photo booths, claw machines, air hockey, and car racing games.

How Service Has Been Advanced Digitally?

Alongside these vast range of new experiences, Korean Air has also enhanced digital services at the lounge, hoping to make the customer experience even more seamless. Integrating IT into lounge operations now means that passengers can use on-site system alerts to see when seats are available during peak hours.

Moreover, real-time lounge crowd levels are now on constant display, working with data from automated entry grates, so that travellers can use less busy facilities. The Korean Air website or mobile app can be used to reserve lounge services in advance using vouchers or mileage. However, First and Prestige Class passengers, alongside SkyTeam Elite Plus members, are given priority access without reservations.

With the Prestige East (Left) Lounge now complete, Korean Air plans to finish renovations to the First Class Lounge and the Prestige West Lounge by the summer of 2026.
