Jazz Aviation Named One of Top Employers for Young People

Chorus Aviation announced in a press release on Friday that Jazz Aviation has been named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People for the seventh consecutive year.

“Jazz is honoured to continuously be ranked among the Top Employers for Young People in Canada,” said Colin Copp, President, Jazz. “Bringing young people with new and innovative ideas into our company is vital to our growth. We are proud to be a top choice for talented young people seeking fulfilling career opportunities in aviation.”

Organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc. “Top 100 Employers of Canada” project, the Top Employers for Young People is a national award. This special designation recognizes the employers that offer the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers. Winners are chosen based on the programs and initiatives they offer to attract and retain younger workers.

Jazz Aviation has a program for up in coming pilots called the Jazz Aviation Pathways Program, which allows students access to scholarships and direct employment. Jazz also has a scholarship and direct employment program for aspiring Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to attend local colleges.

Headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Chorus was incorporated on September 27, 2010. Chorus delivers regional aviation services across Canada, leasing their owned aircraft to Jazz’s Air Canada Express operations.
