IndiGo expands route from Hindon to nine Indian Cities

IndiGo took a strategic step in strengthening its offerings from the National Capital Region (NCR) by commencing operations from Hindon airport, the second airport in the NCR after Delhi.

Flights from Hindon

IndiGo will now operate direct flights that connect Hindon with nine Indian cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Indore, Mumbai, Goa, Patna, Kolkata, and Varanasi. This connectivity offers more travel options for the millions of residents in Ghaziabad, Noida, East and Central Delhi, and other parts of Western Uttar Pradesh.

Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, honourable minister of civil aviation, was present during the occasion, he was congratulating IndiGo on its pivotal role in strengthening the Indian aviation infrastructure and commented on the new development, stating that they are committed to enhancing aviation infrastructure all across India, connecting the smallest of towns in the country to the growing cities and metros. Naidu said the Hindon airport development scheme in Ghaziabad offers convenience of proximity to people living in Ghaziabad, Noida, and Western UP, adding that:

“With the growing connectivity and passenger footfall at Hindon, we are working for the expansion of the terminal building. I congratulate IndiGo on launching operations from Hindon airport, a significant milestone in enhancing regional connectivity.”

Flight frequency

Flight frequency to and from Hindon, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Patna, Varanasi, and Indore is daily, including flights from Mumbai to Hindon. From Hindon to Goa, flight frequencies are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The full flight schedule can be found on IndiGo’s website. 

Pieter Elbers, chief executive officer at IndiGo, also commented on the launch of the operation from Hindon airport in Ghaziabad, stating that the second airport in the NCR offers direct flights to nine Indian cities. He said there are 70 weekly departures from the airport and that the aim is to enhance travel for customers in the region, as it offers them the option of taking flights from an airport that is closer to their homes. Elbers also said:

“We are grateful to the Honourable Minister for civil aviation, Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu Ji, for his presence at the inauguration ceremony and also for his constant support and guidance.”
