A look into a new premium lounge for Daniel K. Inouye International Airport has been revealed for the first time. This lounge, scheduled to open in the airport’s Terminal 1, aims to provide a unique experience for those using it before travelling. This is possible thanks to the continued partnership between Hawaiian Airlines and Alaskan Airlines.
A Relaxing Experience for Travellers
Moments of zen and excitement will easily be found when travellers use this lounge. Elements of sculptures and reflective lights will make this possible, allowing travellers to unwind in style as if submerged in Hawaii’s beautiful surroundings.
Alaska Airlines’ vice president of guest products and experience, Todd Traynor-Corey, commented on this lounge’s commitment to its guests:
“We are reimagining the travel experience with spaces that showcase our dedication to guest satisfaction and the unique culture of Hawai‘i. Our new Honolulu lounge will be the first-of-its-kind within this space and will offer a modern oasis for our guests to enjoy.”
A Bigger Lounge with Better Provisions
Hawaiian Airlines has had previous successes opening premium lounges across Hawaii’s airports, including the Premier Club at Kahului Airport. This has proved to be the motivation needed to work with Alaskan Airlines to open its biggest yet.
Its scheduled 2027 opening will be another success for this airline if its partnership with Alaskan Airlines is able to meet this target period.
Hawaiian Airlines’ director of brand and culture, Alisa Onishi, had this to say:
“Our new Honolulu lounge will be a celebration of our guest’s voyage, thoughtfully crafted to honour the beauty and warmth of our island home. This space reinforces our commitment to providing an unrivalled travel experience that reflects the purpose and values of our hometown airline.”
