Farnborough Airport to Create More Career Opportunities in the Region

By sustaining 3,000 local jobs, Farnborough Airport continues to contribute significantly to the wider region’s development.

It has developed its staff over the years by offering rewarding and stimulating career and job opportunities, especially for Farnborough College of Technology students, 73% of whom reside within a ten-mile radius of Farnborough Airport.

Virginia Barrett, Principal CEO at Farnborough College of Technology said:

The College has a long history of developing local people for careers in aviation. So we are delighted to extend our training to support an even wider number of roles at the Airport to meet demand. I would encourage anyone interested in training for a new career to look into the course and the careers it could lead to.

Another reason for this collaboration is that the airport offers a good working environment and workplace culture. Farnborough Airport was named one of the best workplaces for well-being and development in 2024 and was also listed among the Top 100 Great Places to Work in the UK by Great Place to Work®.
