Ethiopian Airlines: The bold ambition towards expansion

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's leading carrier has signed contract with  Dar Al-Handasah Consultants to proceed with the design of the Mega Airport City project in Bishoftu.

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s leading carrier has signed contract with  Dar Al-Handasah Consultants to proceed with the design of the Mega Airport City project in Bishoftu. More particularly, It will be capable of hosting around 110 million passengers per year being a manifestation of the airline’s operational excellence. This massive move will transform flights across the continent and will establish Ethiopia’s important role in the aviation industry. the Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew underlines this groundbreaking vision by stating the following:

“The project will not only enhance connectivity but also drive economic growth and prioritise environmentally responsible practices in our country and beyond”

The airlines’s bold vision will convert the country into an immense and globally acknowledged gate to Africa. Hence, it will offer services to numerous passengers and will potentially bring long-term prosperity to the region. Its capacity will multiply Bole international airport’s status.

The airline’s plan will prioritise environmentally friendly practices driven by the goal of commitment to innovation and sustainability. With its incredible capability to combine top-notch services with expansion it promises to create strong partnerships and redefine African aviation’s reputation. Therefore, this innovative approach will enhance Ethiopia’s connectivity with the globe and elevate the tourism sector, as well. The travelers will have the exciting opportunity to explore Ethiopia’s remarkable landscapes and tradition which will potentially assist with the advancement of the local economy. Although this plan comes together with operational challenges, the ambitious architects  promise to overcome them.
