About the inaugural flight celebration

The inaugural flight with flight number EK310, operated by Emirates, landed at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport on 30 July, embarking on a new journey for the airline to welcome its fifth gateway in mainland China.

To celebrate the inaugural flight, an event was held at the airport, attended by local dignitaries, airport officials, and representatives from the airline. Travellers who were on the flight received a set of keychains, certificates, and Chinese tea tasting sets to mark the occasion.

The inaugural flight carried travellers from various destinations, including the UAE, Nigeria, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Brazil. In addition, a VIP delegation led by Emirates’ senior management and members of the international media were also on the flight.

Details of the flight

The flight from Dubai to Hangzhou, departed at 9:40 a.m from Dubai and arrives in Hangzhou at 10p.m. The return flight from Hangzhou to Dubai, departs at 12:10 a.m from Hangzhou, and lands in Dubai at 4:55 a.m. The flights are operated by an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER.

The flight offers 8 First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 Economy Class seats.

Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim said:

“China has become one of the world’s leading aviation markets, and Emirates is proud to have played a role in its development. Adding two new gateways within just one month is a major milestone that underscores our deepening commitment to the Chinese mainland. This expansion also demonstrates the strong momentum our East and Southeast Asia growth strategy has gained over the past year. With rising demand, we’re optimistic our global network will continue connecting people, businesses, and economies across Asia and beyond.”
